May 2024, first half

Shorts weather is here at last.
Evelyn has more spare time now that May is here, and she made candied apples for us for a treat.
But school work still needs to be done, and math is a priority.
Matthew hooked up all the irrigation for me again this year. He made it even better than last year and set up a timer to automate it all.
Nathan got to start work earlier than the rest of the kids. Once his last exam was done he was back working for the same landscaping company he's worked for years for now. Sometimes he takes his dirt bike to work, and when he gets home he often goes for a cruise on the back trail before parking.
Look at all those potential plums!!
Sejin wanted to try growing vegetables at her house. So Matthew was volunteered to rototill an area for her. It was a lot easier than shovelling!
Jennifer loves the warmer weather and the fact that summer will be here soon. Not only a break from school, but she loves the hot weather!
Getting the school work done. Gotta do it.
Often on Fridays Jennifer and Philip work together to make pizza for the family. It's delicious!
Daniel mowing my lawn for me.
Daniel got some part time work for a pool company. He has become our resident expert on how to open pools. He didn't even complain about doing most of the work to get ours going for the year.
Matthew put his spare time to good use for me. The Japanese maple was getting a bit out of hand again.
Then we had Oma come and visit in May. We went for a walk with her. Always on the hunt for a jack-in-the-pulpit, Oma's very favourite flower to find in May.

We looked far and wide. And we did find one!
We also got to visit Great Oma. Evelyn gave her a scrapbook compilation from pictures she took from her own camera.
We had another Missional home group meeting.
Oma joined us for this one!
Hungry guys patiently waiting for the food.
