Pow-wow

Evelyn said to say that her Mommy does let her eat...so things aren't quite as bad as she said.
For Ivy-an almost smiling self portrait!
Nathan decided to make a teepee for when the sun was too bright, so you could go inside for shade.
We could fit seven of us in it, but I had to admit it was not as hot outside as in.  Since then he has made various other shelters with more success.  Currently it is a tunnel leading into a "house", being the sandbox.
Oh, and I do let Evelyn go in teepees too, but she isn't so thrilled about it.  In fact, she is very uncomfortable about it!

What is this from?

Mommy didn't let me paint either!

Melting ice rink!

Half ice and half water makes a great combination for fun!  The ice melted very unevenly, so you could stand on some places, while other places were melted all the way through!
Nathan had been counting on the rink melting.  He's often floated boats in the tub, and spent days working on one to float in "Mom's pond" when the ice melted.  I warned him it might leak as fast as it melted, so he was very pleased when he did get to try it out!
Making some wind to propel his boat along...
Evelyn was offended that I would not let her play in the water too.  It looked like so much fun!
But she was allowed to watch from the deck for a while.
