There is something special about time spent with cousins!

Nastalgia

Seems so long ago since...

I was sitting down in the middle of the day completely oblivious to my surroundings

(I had no idea what my kids were doing, and they're in the same building!).

I spent good times with one of my siblings

I had a good cuddle with my hubby.

(This was after Phil was reminded it was valentines day-as he forgot entirely 'til then, he felt guilty enough to even let a picture get taken.)

I was up a mountain.

I had a lovely, lovely holiday.
And I miss it.

But it hasn't been long at all...it's just that work is a bit of shocker after such a good time.

Relaxing at Grandpa and Grandma's

I was really bad at taking out my camera this holiday-I think I managed to use it four times. But I left it in the open, and my mother made up for my negligence. :)

These pictures were taken (I think) when Grandma and Grandpa were babysitting the kids.

There were plenty of fun things to do, and the kids were never bored.

They spent many happy hours at Grandpa and Grandma's just relaxing and playing.

After all, that's what holidays are for!

It took me three whole days to be ready to leave Daniel. He was not relaxed until about then. Philip and I then hit the slopes, but not without Grandma's cell. Paranoid me needed an assurance that Daniel and the others could reach me if they needed to. It took my pride down a few pegs when I realized even these precautions were unnecessary, and my children appeared to have no unquenchable desires for their mother. In fact, Phil thinks they were relieved to be away from me for a whole day, and to have Grandma and Grandpa to themselves.

Home again!

After two weeks and one day (yup, I got my extra day :) ) of holidays, the kids are glad to be home again. Especially the youngest two, who have both been a lot more relaxed and better behaved since we got back.

The suitcases are unpacked, some laundry is hanging to dry, and the house is a disaster. What should I expect? We haven't even been back 24 hours yet.
