Pressure

I am feeling pressure all around.
Inside me.
Outside me.

I think it's time for the baby to come out.
By the end of this week anyways.
I ALMOST feel ready.

Overdue

After two weeks of being pampered, I am on my own today, with the kids. That means I have to actually take care of them myself. This morning my husband prescribed "something fun with the kids" as a priority today, and said I should forget about the curtains. Forget about the curtains??? But I've only got two weeks left and hardly anything done yet!! I can't forget about it! Maybe I'll do it when they're in bed instead. ;)

I notice by my avid blog readers that only news of the baby is interesting enough news. So perhaps I'll pass on blogging for while...after all, the grandparents are all out here to see the grandkids for themselves...which makes pictures a little stale.

As an aside, everyone but me (judging by all the comments on Sunday at church) seems in a hurry for me to have the baby soon. I'm only officially one day overdue yet, and in absolutely no rush to go into labour.

(Yes, I KNOW,
no pain, no gain
but still...)

We love Grandma

Time has just been flying by with Grandma over.
The kids just love getting the extra attention--and so do I!
Plus, there is a lot less work to be done since she's been here!

Hard to believe it's the 12th already! A few more days and I'll have reached my latest due date. I suppose I could still have two weeks left, who can tell?

Any day now I could be holding a brand new baby in my arms!
I find that hard to believe.

Spoiled

We have so much.

We can do so much.

We have so much fun.

We are spoiled.

And soon we'll have some new little monster to join our party.

Let the good times roll...

well, I shall roll, at least.
I, the walking bubble.

Here's me winning at scrabble.
I always win. Even when I don't.

What Canadian can resist posing with an RCMP moose?

Now that I've been in Ontario for quite some time, the time has come to do at least one touristy thing.
The CN Tower was the one thing chosen.

Hey, it's actually pretty high.
There's a lot of buildings out there,
and not a mountain to be seen anywhere!

But I can now agree that the Great Lakes are great.

Very big indeed.

I was disappointed with a few things about the CN Tower, but over all, it was still nice to be there. Thankfully it wasn't too busy when we went, as we were early risers compared to most people (though still not very early). The glass floor, which I imagined was an entire floor of the CN Tower was in actual fact, a very minimal portion of it. Sure it was cool to look down, but I really thought the WHOLE level was going to have glass flooring. And even the main floor you couldn't see out all the sides, since there was a restaurant there as well as there being the 360 Revolving restaurant above us. We also went to see the movie, but there was such a scant amount of technical information that the 20 movie seemed more of a back-patting video than an educational clip.

Would I go up the CN Tower again?
For family or out of town visitors, I think I could handle it without being too cynical.
But not on my enthusiasm and interest alone.

More belly...and stuff

Matthew would like everyone to know that he has a belly too.

"Ticka ticka ticka!"
(That means: please tickle me!)

Nathan is much too old for that.
(In front of the camera at least. :p )

Lately Nathan and Melanie have been in each other's hair a bit too much, so Melanie and Matthew have been doing things together a bit more.

What a team they are.

The kids are fascinated with the accommodations that arrived with our visitors. Nathan was telling Daddy that they slept under the couch...so to straighten him out on that, he was given a demo of how the bedding arrangements changed into dining space.

It was pretty enthralling for everyone involved!

Soon the kids are going to be asking us why we don't put wheels under our house, shrink it, and make it more transitional.

What lovely ladies!
