Pick on someone your own energy size

With bullying, size doesn't matter:

It's all about the amount of energy that you have.

(Or don't have.)

Since I don't have any, that means that it's only fair that I should be left alone.
All
Day
Long.

Thank you for the waffle maker!

For my "big" sister, who I hope to see in the summer!
Thanks!!!

I could have included pictures of me and my husband also enjoying the breakfast, but they were both a little less than attractive. I don't feel obligated to post EVERY embarrassing photo I have of us--especially myself. ;)

(note the obligatory berries and cream ;) )

That's how I am feelid

I am now a cool cat
From which we assume that
I am Stuffed and Stupid

How do you spell disaster?

Dumb Decisions
In a moment done
Sporadically
As in, At the lAst minute
Shopping Slowly
Two Toddlers plus baby
Extra sugar in kids diet
Running aRound busy motheR who is paying no attention

I can't even count how many times I have been given the fateful observation:
"My, you have your hands full."

Generally I write those people off as either being wusses (who are scared of children) or as clueless individuals.
But there ARE occasions when I think maybe they do know what they are talking about.

This morning would be one of those times.

Let me describe the disaster for you. I did not take along my camera, (and would prefer not to have any visual reminders of such a negative experience) so words must suffice. This morning I was all mentally prepped to go shopping (a rare occurrence unless it is the mandatory weekly groceries involved) when the phone rang. Uhoh. Babysitter has the flu in her house. I don't want to deal with the flu all next week, so I cancelled. Bad move. We all go together. My lovely self, Nathan, Melanie and Matthew hop into the van. Then we stop by Timmies for snack and sugar ourselves up (the positive side of this is that I too, have energy). We spend too much time in the stores browsing. The result: Nathan and Melanie running around mannequin window displays when my back is turned, Matthew (tied down tightly) kicking and squawking when the action from his entertaining siblings is not intense enough--then fighting with Melanie when she is tied down tightly beside him. Melanie screeching for hours (feels like) because she is tied down tightly (a result of aquainting herself with the aforesaid mannequins). Nathan bored and touching clean stuff with dirty fingers and blowing at them with a (thankfully) empty straw... It goes on...but I shall quit there. ;) We also probably got coughed on by numerous flu ridden persons while passing masses of bodies in tight places. So now we will have had the flu AND the disastrous shopping experience. But we built some character. And that is worth it all, right Dad?

I shall go have some more food. There is nothing like food for chilling the nerves, except alcohol. But I'm forbidden from taking THAT for my nerves, and must only take an allotted portion as social occasions require.

Mmm...food smells good! I almost feel better already. :)

Picture Upload by Lazy Shortcuts

Here is a large mishmash of mush. Enjoy.

I shall start with some information on my new camera.

My poor husband may repent of his generosity already.
My experimental techniques and snapshot timings are not always appreciated.

My baby is such a peanut.

Once again we have been to the park.

The right photo shows Matthew braving the BIG stairs, while completely ignoring the LITTLE stairs in the background.

Oh man it's cold out today!!

Breakfast time again:

Rice Krispies are very good for ambitious mothers, or people who like vacuuming. Translation: bad idea for me.

I mopped the floor today. It's a rare occurrence here. The picture below isn't that exciting, but you can see that Melanie is in underwear!

Yup. So far so good, but it hasn't been 24 hours yet...I may regret it soon! :o
And I highly recommend lollipops as a "#2" reward. Very effective!! And good for you too. ;)

After drying the floor for Mom (as hastily as possible) they had to hop into their airplane.

I guess Buddy the teddy is the "airplane driver" today!

Poor Matthew thinks:
"Would you just let me out!"

Man oh man these pictures take long to upload, I guess that means they've got more detail...or I'm just doing this at a bad time. I didn't get around to doing more "research" or dealing with my new software, but just plugged my card into the old camera instead. That makes it much easier...for now.

The clock struck one

I need more time...and for my blog, I especially need time to go through software and such so that I can use it more.

And MOTIVATION.

(This is your cue to act like you miss my lengthy entries, especially my large amounts of photographs.)

Glasses upon glasses

Full of pun and artist flair,
As usual.

Can you see the wonderful clarity that my new camera gives? Perhaps not, but that's 'cause I still need to figure out how to use it better.

A confession: I have learned that complaining constantly can cause camera to come. Congrats me. :) Now I only need to figure out what to do with my HUGE STASH of dead AA batteries. Perhaps one of you would like to do a science experiment on anything relating to battery disposal, battery leaking, or battery acid burns? Any takers?

Are you scared of monsters?

How about a Goofball monster?

I am! Life can be horrific with him at times!! The scariest moments are usually when he attacks me with goobers and dripping drool--usually when my mouth is open, or my face is vulnerable.

I think we'll house the Matthew Monster in the basement somewhere in a dark corner so that we can live in peace upstairs! ;)

Where are we?

We (Mommy Roze and Melanie) are spending lots of quality time in the bathroom.
Again. (See projects)
WAHOO!!

Actually, so far so good.
I think it helps that I just REALLY DON'T CARE if she gets trained or not.
We'll see if that attitude can last a week or two though!

So that's where we'll be all week.
In the bathroom.

Matinee Tuesday

Sorry, dial up users, the videos just get longer and longer...
Need to get better with my timing.

Isn't he a lovely singer?

Wouldn't you just love to help her?

To explain--Melanie tripped over a toy and knocked some clothes off of the change table onto the floor. (It was pretty funny)
Isn't he just so helpful?

Hypochondriasis

Some days I worry about myself.
TOO much.

The other day I thought I was dying of a heart attack. I almost rushed myself to the hospital, almost called 911. But I didn't do anything about it but worry, and bother my husband.

Today I have diabetes.

I wonder what it will be tomorrow?

Crushed

I am mortally crushed that no one has reminded me to unwrap my curtains and show you the unveiled completed result. *sobs*

To show I have no hard feelings (I am feeling particularly generous right now *chuckle*) I have shown you the spectacular results!

The matching panel is also complete, and hanging up in the cocoon as I type. I'm pretty sure I did it in half the time, perhaps even closer to a third. I could do the math for you...but as no one cares *sobs* I won't waste my energy and brain power on that now.

It's actually pretty embarrassing how long the first one took...but NOW I actually know what I'm doing, and eliminated a lot of mistakes and time consuming errors--none of which you will be able to see on the curtain, due to my painstaking labour.
*pats back profusely*

These Shoes

These shoes are made for crawling
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these shoes are gonna crawl all over you!

(oops, if I can keep them on, they will)

Don't they look great with his most formal outfit?

Evan is so cool!

We're having our first ever sleepover party
Such a special treat.
We're having a great big super duper party,
Boy is it ever neat!

Can you take a picture of THIS for me "Mommy" Roze?
Anything for you, Evan dear!
Doesn't that beat a pic of cute kids in fancy clothes?
Whatever you say, Evan dear!
[Isn't his artistic taste bang on?]

Can you watch me do this, Super Cool Evan?
I want you to do as I do!

What are you doing down there, Super Cool Evan?
I want to watch all that you do!

(None of us wants to miss any of the action!)

Life with Evan does, however, call for an energy drink to be drunk by the primary caregiver.

p.s.
Thanks so much for the great bread ideas!! Shall try to put them all to good use!!
p.p.s.
Have some family in town, plus a broken washer, so life is busy. May have to wait a few days for the time and enthusiasm to tackle anything other than my basic "fast and familiar" meals.

Bread coming out of my ears!

Help, help!!

A friend gave me a tonne of bread the other day that a bakery was getting rid of. So what do I do with stale-ish bread? I made tonnes of breadcrumbs the other day...so can't use it for that.

What kinds of bread? Mostly French bread, but other really heavy breads too.

It'd be a shame to throw them out.

Even if they're free!

Down by the Bay(sment)

Down by the bay(sment)
Where the baby toys do grow

Back to my home....................I......................... For if I do
I dare not go............................I..........................My mother will say

"Did you ever see a boy.........I.......................Down by the bay(sment)?"
Who couldn't climb down to his toy...............

Party Time!! at Mommy Roze's House!

Boy are we ready to party!!

When's the cake coming Mommy?!
(Isn't he just THE handsomest one year old? ;) )

The long awaited cake.
[And this is a lovely cake, indeed. I am very proud of it. It's the very first birthday cake that I've made (or cupcake) that actually turned out fairly well. ALSO, more notably, the icing, which I made is NOT runny this time! Nathan's 2 year old birthday cake's icing firetruck was pretty much a firemush. It required a lot of imagination. In front of the adult guests, I said I thought it was just the muggy weather...but perhaps there was more to it.

Maybe in another 30 years I'll be a superb baker. Unfortunately, if it's genetic, the skills were not passed down to me. :( ]

I get a kick out of the unwrapping. You think this piece is small? I couldn't get the first two pieces on camera 'cause they were lost from sight between his chubby fingers. I eventually helped him out, spurred on by general impatience from the masses.

Why do my fingers get stuck inside these silly pieces?

And the traditional ride on birthday present from Guess-Who!! He loved the horn, and figured it out pretty quick. He can even drive it already--I think Nathan and Melanie both took a while to figure it out. He's had two kids to envy and watch cruising in the basement for ages...so that gave him a head start.

[He'd better be happy with his presents. After all he got double the presents that his siblings got at that age. Must be his conscience plagued mother wishing she could spend more time with him--and giving him a toy instead. ;)]

On a mawkish note:
I was doing my lunchtime devotions, and he was still up, and harassing me as much as possible. He gets a flipper from Melanie's kitchen set and pulls himself up into my lap (as close as he can anyways), starts to "comb" my hair, and looks for a reaction.
OF COURSE he got one.
